Power Shuttle Feeder

MODEL 8910A - POWER SHUTTLE FEEDER

BADGER wrote the book on SHUTTLE FEEDERS. Nearly 40 years ago we built the first center charged feeder! If you do not want to deal with chains, cables or feed belts, this is the feeder to look at.

With a simple worm gear drive, it can feed up to 250 feet at 65 cubic feet per minute, with as little as 1 to 2 HP (depending upon length). A heavy cast iron drive gear and 5" cast iron rollers assure quiet, trouble free operation.

The center-loaded the trough (suspended on rollers) is half as long as the bunk. The trough rolls back and forth from one end of the bunk to the other at 54' per minute. While passing by the bunk's center, a conveyor fills the moving trough. When the moving trough reaches the end of the bunk a ramp and wheel opens the trough bottom dropping the feed into the bunk up to 65 cubic feet per minute.

Cam mechanism - designed for years of trouble-free operation
Heavy-duty cast iron drive gear (not shown) and formed steel drive track positively engage to assure smooth travel even under the heaviest feed loads.
5" cast iron rollers with relubricatable bronze bearings suspend the feeder for quiet, trouble-free operation
